Newport Beach – Known for Surfing, Shopping, and Now Giant Squid

Giant squid have invaded southern California, bringing both experienced and first-time fishermen to Newport Beach-area sportfishing boats. The squid can reach sizes up to 5 feet and are known as strong fighters. Several were hooked yesterday as the waters were filled with anglers in numbers not seen in a while.
